FINAL REFLECTION

Women have played a vital role throughout history in bringing about positive change in various fields, including politics, science, education, and social justice. This trip but this idea to life since I got to meet these women. I got to hear their stories, but most importantly, I got to see what we usually deem as impossible, possible. I am currently researching about the otherization of women in Politics, and this trip was the perfect way to instill hope that there can be perseverance through their experiences of otherization.

Visiting Washington DC to learn more about women as changemakers was an excellent opportunity to explore the city's rich history and culture. From the Smithsonian National Museum of American History to the National Women's History Museum, there are many museums and exhibits dedicated to celebrating women's contributions to society.

In conclusion, women have been and continue to be powerful agents of change, and exploring their history and contributions can be a meaningful and enlightening experience which this trip definitely was, and I am so glad to have been a part of a program of amazing women who have taught me what it means to be a changemaker.
